If you've had a bad experience in VRChat due to another user acting maliciously, report them to the Trust & Safety Team. This includes any violations of the Community Guidelines or the Terms of Service such as harassment, abusive sound/visual effects, crashing, or other harmful activities.

Reporting malicious users is the best way to keep yourself and other users safe. Safety and Security are extremely vital concerns for the VRChat Team, and helping us out with reports is greatly appreciated.

 

 

In-App Reporting

In-app reporting allows users to report another user from within VRChat in a simple and streamlined manner. For more information on how to report someone within VRChat, read the following:

Ticketing System

If you have any screenshots or recordings you’d like to include with your report, please utilize our VRChat Ticketing System. You can fill out the report form at https://vrchat.zendesk.com/hc/requests/new by selecting “Moderation Report/Appeal” in the dropdown and providing all the requested information. When filing a report, please keep the following in mind:

  • Be sure to fill out as much information as you can to help moderators effectively evaluate your report.
  • Describe the situation fully and clearly and without extraneous or unneeded information.
  • Provide as much relevant context as you are able to. This includes screenshots and video recordings that directly show the violation you are reporting.
    • Please note that any attached evidence will only be viewed by the Trust & Safety Team for the purpose of processing the report. VRChat does not share or disclose provided evidence outside of a need-to-know basis.
  • Not all reports will be directly responded to, and details on moderation actions taken as a result of your report will not be shared.
  • Moderation requests made through Discord will be redirected to the above form. We do not accept requests or information via any channel except the above ticket form.
