π Can I explore the same worlds and join the same instances as my friends on PC, Quest or Android?
Yes, players on iOS, PC, Quest, and Android can all explore the same worlds and join the same instances together.
VRChat uses a content fallback system for both worlds and avatars. If a version specifically designed for iOS exists, that version will be loaded. If it doesn't, the Android version will be used, with shader replacements to ensure compatibility with iOS. Content created exclusively for iOS is not cross-compatible with Android or Quest.
The fallback system is quite reliable for Android avatars and supports Android worlds in a more limited capacity, with users being warned before entering worlds that might not display properly. Although most Android content is compatible with iOS via this fallback system, creators are encouraged to create native versions for optimal performance.

π§ What can I do to improve performance on iOS?
To enhance performance on iOS devices, consider lowering the "FPS Limit" in the Graphics setting. Decreasing the framerate reduces the processing load on the device, resulting in smoother performance and greater stability. We recommend setting the default framerate to a minimum of 40 fps for optimal results.

π¨ Are custom Avatar and World uploads supported on iOS?
Yes! The VRChat SDK and VCC support building Avatars and Worlds for iOS.

πββοΈ How do I move around, interact with objects, and communicate using touch controls on iOS?
The iOS version of VRChat includes on-screen touch controls, allowing you to move around, interact with objects, and navigate menus entirely with your fingers. It also supports both Bluetooth and wired controllers too!
On iOS, communication is configured to use Push to Talk by default. This means you must press and hold the talk button while speaking. During this time, the speaker output will automatically lower to ensure that you can be clearly heard. If you use external headphones, whether wired or wireless, you can access additional microphone mode options in the settings. Headphones also prevent the speaker volume from adjusting when you talk, providing a smoother communication experience.
