Spookality 2025 is here and we are excited to announce a new event: Candy Quest!

Event Starts: October 14, 2025 @ 11:00 AM PT 
Event Ends: November 06, 2025 @ 2:00 PM PT

What is Candy Quest?

Candy Quest is a new event where you collect candy that drops from Companions! To participate, simply visit the VRChat Shop Tab and acquire your free Candy Codex. Alongside the Candy Codex, you'll find several new listings for Spookality! Two that may catch your eye are Treats and Kath. Both of these are Companions that will follow you around and can be interacted with in a unique way: they'll give out candy to others... if they're patient.

 
  • 📖  What is the Candy Codex? 

    The Candy Codex is needed to collect candy drops from Treats and Kath. The collected candy will populate in the blank lollipop or wrapped candy slots.

    Once you've collected 8 unique types of candy, you will be awarded a special badge!

  • 🐾  What are Companions?

    Treats and Kath are both Companions. Companions follow you around and can be interacted with in some way. In the case of Treats and Kath, they'll give you candy. Wrapped candy comes from Treats, lollipops come from Kath.

  • 🎁  How do I get the Companions?
    Treats and Kath will be available for purchase in the Shop tab. They can be purchased separately, or in a bundle.
  • 🍬 How do I collect candy?

    When you spot Treats or Kath in the wild, they may want to give you a treat. Give them a head pat with the Candy Codex spawned to receive a piece of candy. You can only get candy from other Companions, not your own. 

    You will need to collect 4 wrapped candies (from unique Treats) and 4 lollipops (from unique Kath). 

  • ⏰  How do I know when the candy is ready to collect?

    When the Companion begins to glow, it indicates that it is in the process of "Making a Candy." Once the candy is ready for you, it will appear in front of the Candy Companion, ready to be claimed through a headpat. This display will last for a few seconds.

  • 🌈  Why does my Treats or Kath look different from my friends'?

    The color and pattern for Treats' wings and Kaths' antennae are randomly generated. This pattern corresponds to the candy that is dropped. This means that there are lots of possible Companion combinations!
