If you're experiencing issues with VRChat Mobile, here are a couple of troubleshooting steps to address different issues:
Application freezing, hanging, or other performance issues
- Restart the application entirely. In some cases, you may want to consider restarting your device altogether to rule out any possible issues
- Check for updates to ensure you're running on the latest version of VRChat
- If the above steps do not work, uninstall VRChat entirely from your device, then reinstall it
- Note: We're aware that VRChat can experience issues on lower-end devices that might meet the System Requirements
Connection issues
- If you're running on a cellular connection, we suggest that you switch to a WiFi connection to maintain a reliable connection to the service
- Note: Switching between WiFi to Cellular or vice-versa will disconnect you from the instance, but should allow you to reconnect after you've re-established a connection
- VRChat can use up varying amounts of data depending on your use case, we recommend keeping an eye on this using the Data Usage stats provided in your Android settings
Audio issues
- Make sure that you've set the application's audio correctly and that the phone is not set to Silent
- Certain applications such as Google Play Music and SoundCloud can mute other applications to play music
- Note: We're aware that Bluetooth audio can sometimes cause issues
Push Notifications not working
- You may have these disabled for VRChat. Open up your Settings > Notifications > select 'VRChat' > select 'Allow Notifications'
If you continue to have issues, we recommend reviewing the Android Help article linked here to learn how to enable these per-app.
