When you submit any text input within the VRChat platform, you may receive an error if your input includes words or phrases that violate VRChat's Community Guidelines. This can apply to Display Names, User Profile Text Content (status, pronouns, bio), and other text fields.
You may encounter situations in which certain keywords or combinations of words are restricted, even when used in a different creative context. Our detection systems are automated and designed to help keep the community welcoming for everyone. Because language and meaning can vary across regions and contexts, text content may occasionally be rejected in error.
If your text content is rejected by our systems, it does not mean we have taken moderation actions against your account. When our systems flag and prevent you from using a certain word in VRChat, you'll be prompted to provide us with feedback about the accuracy of the detection. If you think our detection wasn't valid or could be better, you'll have the opportunity to let us know so we can consider it for future improvement.
