VRChat crashes when using a multi-monitor setup with different scaling

Note: This is a known issue that we're investigating and hope to have a client fix for in a future update. In the meantime, the following steps can be used to workaround the crash.

 

If you have a multi-monitor setup with monitors that use different resolution scales, you may be experiencing a Unity crash. In order to prevent this from happening, please try the following steps:

  1. Right-click on the VRChat.exe file and select 'Properties'
  2. Go into the 'Compatibility' tab

  3. Select the 'Change high DPI settings' option

  4. Check the "Override high DPI scaling behavior" option, leave it set to "Application" and press OK, apply your changes, and then press OK.
